Alpeta Cellars is located in the Roshnk village , one of the best of Albanian’s premier wine grape region. Owned and operated by Fiska family , the winery was founded in 1991, and the first commercially released vintage was harvested in 1992 In the ensuing years, we have grown from a small partnership producing wine with grapes from Winery Vineyard . Nature has provided. Our goal is to showcase the best that our land has produced.”
3 types of wines 2 reds and 1 white wine produced in Alpeta winery . The eldest of the family mr Beqir is an expert of Wines and Vineyards as he studied Agronomy in Tirana University during 60s . We are proud to tell that our white wine comes from an indigenous grape that grows up only in our village . For the very first time Beqir tried to make wine from this unknown Grape called Pules . The result was amazing as this grape gave a high quality white wine wine. The grape grows up only in the high altitudes more than 400 m above sea level 100 % of the grape comes from our vineyard and this make us to be limited producing about 7000 bottles for a year .
Recently we plant 3 hectares with an indigenous grape called Pules so we can produce more from our Indigenous white wine Which is the “ Most Wanted “
Fiska’s daily involvement in the two sides of wine production, grape growing and winemaking, ensures the superb quality of our wines. The winemaking have been a tradition for the family and all members assist in the daily works of the winery “Fine wine starts in the vineyard with careful vineyard management All the process from harvest to bottling is madden with hand by the family members as we are all very connected with the wine .”We strive to take maximum advantage of the Roshnik hill’s natural geology and climate to produce the best wine varietals. We interfere as little as possible with the soil, maintaining the age-old wisdom of balance and the traditional values of conservation and land stewardship. Once harvest is completed, we undertake the second part of our job: winemaking. This presents an interesting challenge every time since each year the growing season and harvest are unique and different. We never seek to change what nature want to give
